+ Reading: Been reading and highly enjoying The Martian by Andy Weir. Besides being about Mars and space, Mark Watney has a hell of a sarcastic sense of humor, which I absolutely adore.

+ Watching: I’ve been binge watching a lot of Netflix ever since I moved. I actually really enjoyed Melissa & Joey, as much as I hate to admit it. Even though I’ve always been more of a Matthew Lawrence fan, I cannot lie. Joey Lawrence is a hottie.

+ Listening: Although C has been trying to introduce me to his music of choice (black metal *shudders*) I’ve been binging on a lot of Modest Mouse. The new songs are fantastic and they are coming to Seattle in August. They are also the one band that the boyfriend and I both agree on and we’re hoping to go and see them in concert!

+ Contemplating: Counting down to my last raise before I am considered “topped out” in my current job. Trying to figure out if I want to open a bakery, cafe or restaurant.

+ Learning: Showing people that you care so much about them is never good, because invariably you’ve then shown them that you are content to come in second to them, and you are just as good as they are. Sometimes, better.

+ Awaiting: My last raise. Star Wars, even though I’m not happy with a lot of the rumors floating around. And The Martian movie.

+ Creating: A new home for my roommate and I. Turning my room into my sanctuary. It feels amazing.

+ Coveting: This navy blue eyelet challis sundress from Torrid. How adorable is this dress? Why am I suddenly so into dresses? The You’re in Buck shower curtain. It’s super adorable and would be perfect in the new bathroom.

+ Happymaking: Moving, the sunshine, being with my new boyfriend each week, sitting in the yard of this new place, planning my garden.

What are you currently up to? Any new books or movies you’re watching? New fashions that you’re coveting? I’d love to know all about them.

  • That’s such a beautiful waterfall! Is it close to where you live?
How cool that you’re planning for opening a bakery or the likes. I’ve thinking of that too sometimes.

    • Hi! Thank you for stopping by!

It’s about an hour and half from where I live. I happened to be in Seattle that day visiting with family and they wanted to visit Snoqualmie which is about 25-30 minutes from Seattle. It’s a beautiful drive, not to mention the falls itself.

Yes, I’ve always wanted to open a bakery. But I also love to cook. So i’m thinking a cafe would be wonderful. Open early for pastries and then in afternoon for sandwiches and the like :)
